The job
You install cabinets, trim, doors, stair parts and built-ins in kitchens, baths and finished basements, working from measured drawings. You scribe, shim and fit until the finished room matches the drawing.
You work with a lead carpenter and the designer, and you talk with the owners while you work in their home. Most owners stay in the house during a remodel, so you close and clean the work zone at the end of each day.
What you need
- Experience hanging cabinets and running trim
- A driver's license, to get between job sites
- Your own hand tools
- Able to lift and carry cabinets with a second person
Schedule
Monday to Friday, daytime hours, all year.
